The city has everything you could possibly want, including some of the world’s most delicious food, fun activities, beautiful views and friendly people. You may be surprised by how much there is to do in Singapore, so we’ve put together this list of the top 8 things to do in Singapore to help you plan your trip!

1) Experience true luxury at the Marina Bay Sands

Visit Marina Bay Sands and get the full casino, pool and mall experience. Marina Bay Sands is Asia's largest integrated resort. It has a hotel tower, two pools, three skating rinks and world-class restaurants. There is also an observatory at the very top of the resort with 360 degree views of the city all day long.

2) Visit the National Gallery Singapore

Since 2007, this contemporary art museum has been housing over 9,000 pieces of Southeast Asian and international art. Be sure to stop by the Gallery Shop where you can find all sorts of things made by local artists or souvenirs from your travels abroad.

3) Hang out with friendly locals at Zouk

One of the best things about being here is how welcoming everyone has been. One night, I was walking home late at night and came across a young couple sitting on a park bench. As soon as they saw me they said hello and we struck up a conversation. Before long, they were inviting me to come by their apartment for some coffee! It seems like this happens pretty often since there are so many expats living here, but it's comforting when you realize that there's such a welcoming culture.

4) Discover your artistic side at Esplanade MRT station

Start off your evening at the Esplanade MRT station. Grab a coffee or head over to one of their art installations where you can paint, sketch, and make some art. Once you've had your fill of creativity, head over to read some books at the book café, or relax with some herbal tea. When you're finished with your coffee experience at the Esplanade MRT station, it's time for dinner!

5) Book a performance ticket at Stamford House

Performance and sports tickets can be purchased through Stamford House. This venue features performances of everything from global pop stars to Broadway productions. You can buy tickets for any performance at the standard price, or if you're looking for something a little different, opt for a discounted ticket. If you have any questions about buying your performance ticket, visit the customer service desk at Stamford House.

6) Take a selfie at Marina Bay Sands Sky Park

After a walk around the Marina Bay waterfront area, we headed over to the top of Marina Bay Sands for a selfie at the Sky Park! Once there, you can see an incredible view of the entire city, including Marina Bay Sands itself.

7) Admire contemporary art at ArtScience Museum

First opened as the National Museum of Singapore, it was renamed after an important modern Asian art museum in 1998. One of the top things to do in Singapore is visit this world-class institution that has at its center a three-story transparent greenhouse with free-flowing vines and other living plants. There are nearly 500 pieces on display, many by noted Southeast Asian artists such as Ramesh Nithyanandan, Glen Loo Seow Ngee and Berson Khong Chong Hoi.

8) Escape on Sentosa Island

Whether you're in the mood for a thrill or an escape, Sentosa Island has you covered. With stunning views, thrilling attractions and interesting exhibits it's a one-stop destination for fun and entertainment.
