The Peak

If you love hiking and being outside, The Peak offers the best view of all of Hong Kong. With an elevation of 1,811 feet (550 meters), it's also the tallest mountain on the island. Some hikers say that one hike is not enough for them- they go up there at least three times before coming down!


Ocean Park

The world's largest oceanarium is a perfect spot for kids of all ages. With 18,000 animals and 100 aquariums, there are plenty of things to do and see. If you're lucky, you might even spot some dolphins swimming right by the glass! They offer tons of interesting programs that get visitors up close with the animals including nighttime safaris and an up-close walkthrough experience that lets visitors see below the surface.


Victoria Harbour at Sunset

Make a romantic evening of it by strolling along the promenade that edges Victoria Harbour at sunset. Admire the magnificent skyscrapers, some reaching more than 60 stories, in one of the world's most expensive cities.

Avenue of Stars and Symphony of Lights

The Avenue of Stars is one of the best-known attractions in HK and is a must see for tourists. This boulevard stretches along Victoria Harbour and features sculptures and handprints of celebrities, including Bruce Lee. The Symphony of Lights is a nightly light show that takes place over the water on both sides of Victoria Harbour. It combines spectacular music, imagery, lighting effects and lasers with a backdrop of different skyscrapers throughout the city set against a stunning harbour.

The Big Buddha/ Po Lin Monastery

Home to the world's tallest statue of the Buddha, this is one of the most visited attractions in Hong Kong. Also known as Buddha-Ling-Sha Park, it is located atop a small hill in Kowloon. Take the 587 bus from Kowloon ferry pier and get off at Po Lin Monastery Bus Terminus stop. The entrance fee for adults is HK$25 with student price at HK$17. Allow a few hours for your visit and be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes!

Temple Street Night Market- Temple Street Night Market, more commonly known as Chungking Mansions (even though it's actually a shopping mall) is located on Nathan Road, Kowloon and is one of the biggest open air markets in the world. Here you can find anything from knock-off iPhone cases, vintage Gucci bags and artisan crafts.
